Position Summary:

With a $3.2 billion domestic market, myCOI is on track to becoming an early leader of a new, highly lucrative segment of the insurance industry. We are prepped for massive growth and looking for an energetic, strategic, and entrepreneurial-minded Employee Success executive level leader to help take us to the next level. We are looking for a passionate organizational development focused human resources executive seeking an opportunity to uniquely transform an already thriving, people-first employee culture by developing a highly strategic forward approach to employee development, learning and engagement first and foremost. As the organization’s first HR executive and Vice President, Employee Success, you will also own and play the strategic role in analyzing current HR (benefits, compensation, payroll, etc.) recruitment and talent acquisition functions and ensure best practices are in place to meet overall culture and business objectives. People Strategy & Development Focused Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to transform, design, coach and manage initiatives that improve executive’s, and their team’s, performance to achieve strategic cultural and business objectives across the organization.
• Effectively challenge and guide leadership team to help them become more effective leaders and role models for their people.
• Own and be accountable for overall employee engagement, success and development initiatives, human resources functions including benefits, compensation and compliance, talent acquisition, recruitment, and overall metrics for these areas of accountability.
• Develop a purposeful employee engagement and professional development strategy focused on improving connection to the organization, emotional commitment, productivity, retention, and overall employee engagement.
• Create synergy between the business and people strategy goals by ensuring alignment maps to the overall organizational strategy with the goal of improving both employee and company performance.
• Utilizing metrics that provide the most insight into our business; thoughtfully design programs that will progress our goals.
• Develop strategies to ensure the right people in the right roles deliver the right outcomes, in the right time.
• Advise and drive the preparation of high potential employees to become future leaders.
• Develop a performance management strategy that provides employees ongoing opportunities for continuous feedback, support and coaching or counseling.
• Analyze existing employee processes, workflows, systems, and technology and ensure alignment to the current business model and goals.
• Help to create consistency cross-departmentally amongst hiring managers and teams on how development is approached, managed, and tracked in ADP.
• Manage overall people strategy and talent acquisition budget
• Manage current and future vendors partnerships
• Manage 1 direct report

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Focused Responsibilities:

• Partner with Recruiting Manager to own and continually refine strategic talent acquisition vision, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a pulse on each department’s current and future talent needs to ensure the right people are in the right seat.
• Serve as the myCOI Brand Ambassador by building brand awareness and representing myCOI at HR, Recruiting/TA events, tradeshows and within the community overall.
• Create key metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of recruiting activities, leveraging analytics and market intelligence
• Look for opportunities to automate and scale internal processes
• Train and coach hiring managers on best practices with an emphasis on hiring for cultural fit aligned to myCOI’s mission and core values

Human Resources Focused Responsibilities:

• Day to day Human Resources operational, compliance and administration responsibilities
• Point of contact for HR related questions
• Manage culture initiatives (volunteer days for example)
• Benefits administration
• Benefits and HR vendor management
• Ensure legally compliant hiring practices are in place and adhered to

Travel Responsibilities: Occasional travel.

Basic Qualifications:

• Key to this role is understanding that people come first and are the foundation to success.
• Proven experience as a strategic employee success or organizational development visionary (or similar) partnering with leadership staff to build meaningful and impactful programs and processes to help our employees be the best they can be personally and professionally
• Having a solid business acumen and experience within rapidly evolving, high-growth, fast-paced collaborative environments is important.
• Proven experience with performance management, organizational development, and career development
• You carefully balance what is in the best interest of the employee with what is in the best interest of the business.
• Exceptional ability to build trusting relationships with hiring managers, leadership, employees, and candidates. Leadership and employees come to you because you have a trusted mindset and voice.
• Experience identifying what a company is good at and what capabilities are needed when and where.
• Experience managing and developing direct report (s)
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach, engage and empathize with leadership, hiring managers, employees, and candidates
• You’re a believer in incorporating and utilizing data, programs, processes, and structure to achieve goals.
• A highly integral and fair person who respects confidentiality is critical.
• Experience with coaching and development programs helpful

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred, but not required
