You will take a key role in ensuring that high quality financial information is available to support timely reporting. You will ensure strong financial control, support the statutory accounts and audit process as well as VAT and other tax requirements. You will also support a rolling program of system & process development as well as other ad hoc strategic project work.
The ideal candidate for this role will be newly or part ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) and will have already demonstrated a track record of excellence. They will be a high achiever with drive and energy who will work smart and deliver fast. The successful candidate will also have an extremely positive approach, be happy to challenge the status quo and thrive on change.

What you’ll be doing
- Ownership of the general ledger, responsible for maintaining the chart of accounts and departmental structure including identifying and suggesting improvements
- Maintain tools and processes to ensure accurate coding of transactions and approve supplier bills in Netsuite ensuring accurate postings (GL, VAT, due date details are all correct)
- Supporting month end close including preparing monthly journal entries
- Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (maintaining prepayment and accrual schedules, inter-company, fixed assets etc)
- Partner closely with the business to ensure that headcount and salary forecasts are kept up to date, flagging any risks or opportunities with headcount to Senior Management
- Managing the Bonus calculation process for our Contact Centre and producing the monthly Contact Centre management information packs
- Support on preparation of all Tax returns (Corporate Tax, VAT returns, US Sales Tax, PSA etc)
- Treasury support (liquidity & FX management, bank reporting)
- Systems and Process Improvement & Control (balance sheet ownership, relentless innovation of internal controls, systems and processes, using technology to automate)
- Pro-actively identifies opportunities for improvement and supports their implementation

What success looks like
- All transactions posted timely and accurately into the finance system
- Supporting the month end close within 4 working days of month end
- Full balance sheet reconciliations prepared each month with explanations and proposed resolutions (if necessary) for any variances
- Workforce plan and headcount/salary forecast maintained
- Timely management of Contact Centre bonus calculations and preparation of the monthly management information
