We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the transportation industry. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling drivers, monitoring their progress, and responding to customer inquiries. This position requires the ability to multitask and think quickly in order to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• IFTA calculations and ing
• ing of vehicle repairs and registrations
• Ensure drivers follow all protocols including pre trip inspections
• Analyze loading, routing, and delivery methods
• Safety management and Accident ing
• Work with local management and corporate leadership to ensure proper files and compliance
• Ensure ELD compliance and route efficiency
• Assist in identification and implementation of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction opportunities
• Coordinate services with local trucking vendors
• Coordinate routes by examining product dimensions and weight for each order and identify and evaluate any special needs for each load.
• Determine the most efficient vehicle for route completion.
• Coordinate all jobsite and truckload deliveries with customer base.
• Assign qualified drivers to operate equipment.
• Provide support to team of drivers.
• Field customer calls pertaining to the shipment of product.
• Coordinate all equipment preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Complete and submit a monthly Fleet Audit.
• Coordinate and schedule all common carrier shipments.
• Maintain DOT Compliance through proper record keeping, training and monitoring.

Requirements:

• two years as dispatcher

Knowledge of principles and methods for moving non-hazardous materials

• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state and national laws
• Knowledge of laws, EPA regulations, DOT regulations, and OSHA regulations, or other related transportation endorsements
• Experience in shipping and/or transportation industry
• High school diploma required
• Relevant degree preferred
• Commitment to courteous customer service
• Must have demonstrated Microsoft office computer skills
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $36,000.00 – $87,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Choose your own hours
