About the position

Reporting to the Finance Manager and located either in Muswellbrook, remotely or on a hybrid-basis, the Finance Business Partner is a newly created role that is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer in preparing internal financial reports in an accurate and timely manner through the provision of competent financial analysis. The position will ensure the financial reports are in accordance with Councils reporting policies, procedures and statutory obligations.

About you

• Degree Qualification in Accounting, Business or Finance.
• CA or CPA membership preferred.
• Demonstrated substantial experience in an accounting environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement Legislation, Guidelines and Policies.
• Demonstrated intermediate competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in Position Description).
• Demonstrated Advanced key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in Position Description).

• Permanent Full Time, 35 hours per week
• Salary from $83,797 to $101,050 based on demonstrated competencies, qualifications, skills and experience
• Plus 10.5% superannuation
