RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and deliver top-notch lessons.
• Handling any questions or confusions thoroughly
• Maintain fast and professional communication with your students after lessons.
• Use our system to deliver follow-up materials to students after each lesson within 24hrs of the lesson.
• Maintain fast and professional communication with our team.
• Requests for learning resources or supplementary materials.
• Maintain consistent availability for your teaching schedule and meetings.
• Nurture relationships with students over an extended period of time.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Teaching Experience

• 2-3 years experience of teaching beginner-intermediate guitar.
• Experience teaching remote lessons is a big plus.
• Guitar as your primary instrument.
• Must have the technical proficiency to demonstrate and explain popular songs with ease.
• Piano as a secondary instrument.
• Must have the technical proficiency to demonstrate and explain basic theory concepts on a piano keyboard.
• Strong music theory background and ability to apply it to any genre of music (e.g. from Bob Dylan to Rihanna to jazz standards).
• University-level degree in music.

Software Experience

• Zoom
• Familiarity with its basic functions (e.g. sharing your screen) and the ability to help students troubleshoot if necessary.
• Notion
• Music notation software (e.g. Flat.io, Noteflight, Sibelius, Finale, etc.)
• Canva
• Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
• Willingness to be trained in our communication software

Preferred Setup

• Fast computer in good condition (32GB of RAM or more)
• Fast internet connection (300mbps or faster)
• Electric guitar in good condition

COMPENSATION

• $28 – 43 per hour depending on experience and performance over your time with Music Made Simple.
• Equipment loaned to you which can be used for personal projects (e.g. recording music).
• Production-based and retention-based bonuses throughout the year.
