Municipality of the County of Victoria Hiring for Transit Administrator at Baddeck, NS Full Time

On behalf of Victoria County Transit, the Municipality of the County of Victoria is requesting applications for the part-time position of Transit Administrator.

This is a two-year term position with the possibility of extension. Hours begin at 20 hours per week but may be flexible/increase based on service demand. The position is a remote (work from home) role with minimal travel required for meetings, check-ins, etc.

This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of daily operations, communications for daily routes/runs and cancellations, ensuring safe and efficient operations of the transit system including vehicles, employees, clients and contractors, managing funding opportunities and liaising with government departments as appropriate.

Qualifications and Abilities:

• Office administration diploma
• A combination of education and experience may be considered
• Knowledge of general office administration including basic bookkeeping and recordkeeping
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to lead and direct staff
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products
• Exceptional time management skills and problem solving abilities
• Sound communication skills and ability to develop and maintain strong work relationships
• Ability to be self-motivated and work autonomously with minimal direct supervision
