Municipal Resources, Inc Hiring for Finance and Accounting Associate Job at Plymouth, NH Full Time

The Finance and Accounting Associate is a new position created to support Municipal Resources, Inc. (MRI) growing fund accounting software and finance services division. The Finance and Accounting Associate will provide administrative and finance support, testing, data entry and other duties as an integral member of our team of experienced municipal finance professionals who provide software, payroll and finance services to MRI’s clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn municipal fund accounting from the leader in municipal accounting and payroll services for public sector entities in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities include:

Finance Software Team

· Assist with finance software data conversions, setup and configuration

· Troubleshoot conversion issues by running and reconciling reports

· Participate in software bug testing

· Prepare and review software documentation

Finance Services Team

· Assist in processing AP including vendor invoices and credits; verify supporting documentation

· Assist in processing AR and revenue entries

· Assist with payroll processing including data entry and reconciliations

· Assist with G/L account reconciliation

Qualifications:

· Experience with AP, AR, and/or payroll processing

· Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting preferred; or a combination of education and professional experience

· In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and an understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures

· Ability to learn new software, skills and programs

· Detail oriented with excellent accuracy and organization skills

· Ability to troubleshoot problems

· Ability to interact with all levels of staff and professionals

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, & take initiative
