Position: Site Engineer – Civils

Salary: CIRCA £30k + company benefits

Location: Chesterfield

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our client, a leading Specialist contractor who have been operating for over 65 years.

They work in the Civils and Concrete Structure sector, with dedicated National teams experienced with a reputation in the industry for the quality of our service and innovative engineering solutions, underpinned by our commitment to safety.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Measurement of site works
• The management of Health and Safety in accordance with company procedures and legislation, maintain records.
• Accompany the site safety advisors on all site visits and discuss non-conformances with the site manager to arrange corrective action.
• Complete SHEQ forms F15 and F16 on a weekly basis, and F17 as and when it is required
• Escort site visitors as and when required.
• Carry out inductions and TBTs.
• Create the fortnightly works program with reference to the contract programme.
• Maintain LPM records and provide cost data to the site quantity surveyor.
• Quality Control, maintaining records in accordance with the Quality Plan.
• Management of the project Quality Plan, updating as required
• Ordering of plant and materials.
• Become conversant with and understand the form of contract that the site is operating under.
• Attend weekly site management meetings.
• Complying with company policies and procedures
• Complying with SHEQ procedures and relevant legislation
• Ensuring professionalism and quality is maintained throughout all activities

Skills and Qualification Needed:

• BSc Civils Degree or equivalent experience
• CSCS card essential
• Proven history of project completion
• Excellent time management and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal communication
• Good initiative and logical thinking
• Full driving licence essential
