SUMMARY

Prepare customer quotes including break down details. Analyze quotes before submittal for completeness. Analyze rejected quotes and track reasons for rejections. Act as a liaison between the Customer (OEM), the division (Multimatic New Haven) and the Multimatic Product Services (MPS). As well, to respond to the vast array of customer requests, concerns, requirements, and complaints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• APQP Department cost management, including part cost and manufacturing costs
• Maintain accurate part cost records using Multimatic Cost Model and Customer cost records
• Assist with customer quote preparation, and translate quotes into Customer cost records
• Research, develop and implement part cost reduction opportunities
• Research, develop and implement manufacturing cost reduction opportunities through Kaizens and other engineering processess
• Review contracts for accuracy
• Coordinate APQP and Stage – Gate Product Development and Industrialization activities
  • Schedule and facilitate APQP Gate Review Meetings
  • Review and champion completion of APQP and Stage – Gate deliverables.
  • Assist in special early production parts builds readiness

  • Workstation Readiness
  • Special Process Instructions and Training
  • Quality Inspection Activities
  • ECN system maintenance
  • BOM accuracy
  • Customer portal data management
  • Assist Program Managers, Production Buyer, and APQP Manager as necessary on various activities

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

• APQP Department: Provides support as outlined above
• Finance/Accounting: exchange costing information with regards to all purchase orders and outstanding issues
• Customer Contacts: communicates customer requests as outlined above
• Materials/Production/Shipping: provides information and follow-up for sample/prototype and other shipments
• All System Manual & Documentation Owners: provide guidance and help of manuals, documents, and systems. Ensure that manuals and documents are current and maintained. Ensure proper procedures are followed for all system and documentation updates.
• Technical Services Manager/Quality Manager: obtain cost and timing information with respect to R.F.Q’s engineering changes or new build

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have proficient strong mathematical skills, PC skills, including the ability to create and interpret spreadsheets and word processing documents.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree (Business/Finance/Accounting/Engineering Technology) or equivalent work experience
• Strong MS Office computer knowledge, specifically in MS Excel
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Preferred; familiarity or able to learn Customer Systems (i.e., electronic customer portals, (Ford, FCA, GM, etc.))
