About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance Leadership Position
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of commercial acumen and professionalism
• Advanced technology skills including advanced MS Excel capabilities. Ability to interpret and analyze large complex data sources with minimal corrections and effective use of analytic techniques.
• Experience in Technology One is highly desirable.
• Highly structured communication reasoning and stakeholder management skills including advanced listening, verbal and written skills and ability to communicate with non-financial leaders.
• Demonstrated experience working in complex relationships, whilst having an ability to influence others.
• Strong customer-focused attitude, commitment to actively display organisational behaviours, and contribute to team goals.
• Ability to meet deadlines, establish priorities, multitask and manage a high volume of tasks
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
• Commercial acumen and an ability to see the bigger picture
• An intellectually curious mind and an ability to understand and succinctly explain complex data or problems
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
• Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints

About the role

The Group Accounting Manager role is a key role within the Multicap Group Finance function. This role will maintain effective oversight on group wide finance activities. Focus on continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager of Finance Operations this role will take full ownership of key corporate ledgers, provide insight to business partners and management, and maintain effective oversight on group-wide activities. Whilst also providing day to day management and development of the finance team.

• Provide strong leadership, management and guidance to the team
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery and analysis of financial performance in order to assist the business in making key commercial decisions
• Assisting the broader Group Finance team in identifying areas for improvement and practical means to improve efficiency of financial results, e.g. reducing duplication, leveraging existing system functionality etc.
• Experience in reporting to senior stakeholders, including preparation of written documents and presentation to management
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives and their implementation
• Ensuring month end timelines are adhered to.
• Overseeing the preparation of monthly management reports, analysis & commentary to support business units.
• Preparing year-end financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger is maintained to a high standard.
• Ensuring all statutory returns, reporting and compliance are meet agreed timelines.
• Maintaining close working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring dedicated business reporting areas are kept informed of their financial performance.
• Maintain up-to-date practical knowledge of relevant accounting and taxation issues and trends appropriate to Multicap.
• Examining financial records to check for accuracy
• Training and development of finance team members.
• Ad hoc projects

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, commerce, or other relevant undergraduate study
• Qualified member of CPA/CA
• A current QLD Driver’s Licence
• Up to date Covid 19 Vaccinations
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
• Working with Children Check (Blue card)
• NDIS Worker Orientation certificate
