GENERAL LABOUR: $17-20 per hour to start + bonus & shift premiums: Afternoon (4 days on, 3 day weekends every week) & Weekend Shifts (3 days on, 4 days off every week)

Multi-Action Labels is growing again! Our order book has been exploding despite Covid. We have a full order book and new, state-of-the-art press equipment being installed in Ajax right now!

We are hiring 4 permanent, full-time General Labour position on Afternoon and Weekend Shifts! No direct experience required – training is provided by seasoned operators. Inexperienced or new to the workforce and seeking a career (over just a job), are encouraged to apply for a role that will develop industry knowledge and build long-lasting relationships with a capable, competent team. Multi-Action is recruiting apprentice operators! As a self-motivated hard-worker, we’ll provide full training: teaching you everything you need to know and providing career growth opportunities, bonus opportunities and wage increases!

You are punctual, reliable, organized, and independent, with basic mechanical skills, a strong work ethic and superb references. Experience in a manufacturing/processing company or in the industry is an asset, but not a requirement.

Afternoon shifts are 4×10.5 hours each and 3-day weekends. Weekend shifts are 3×12 hours each, which means four days off every week!

Work conditions:

• Weekend Shift, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (5:30AM-6PM); Get paid for 40 hours of pay for only 36 hours worked, every week!
• Afternoon Shift, Monday to Thursdays (4:30PM-3AM); Afternoon shifts are paid $1.00/hour in shift premiums.
• Both Shifts are eligible for monthly production bonuses of over $1.25 per hour!
• These are PERMANENT, FULL-TIME roles with benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Establish machine settings and make adjustments;
• Responsible for completing quality checks according to product specifications (visual/functional);
• Prepare material according to the production schedule;
• Set and maintain print registration, colour matching and varnishes;
• Ensure components and materials meet customer requirements before proceeding to run or complete a job;
• Adhere to job and product specifications to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and aniloxes are utilized;
• Maintain consistent quality (including copy, colour, registration, and ink adhesion) while maximizing press speeds;
• Make boxes, place rolls on the pallets;
• Work as part of a team with the press operator;
• Communicate issues in a timely manner to avoid delays;
• Work closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvement of all press room operations;
• Communicate accurate, detailed information regarding the status of work in progress;
• Work safely, abide by and promote established safety policies and procedures;
• Maintain equipment in a safe, functioning, well-maintained state;
• Identify any unsafe conditions;
• Maintain a clean, orderly work-place;
• Perform all other duties as required.
