Mudskippers Pottery provides after-school enrichment programs to over 2,000 elementary school students yearly throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. We are searching for responsible and fun loving after school teachers to work with children in art clubs and help them unleash their creativity!

Paid Training Begins the end of December and Teaching Begins in January 2022

Mudskippers Pottery is looking for fun and engaging instructors to teach our after school programs. As an instructor you will inspire your students by providing guidance and technical instruction. This is a great opportunity to build your resume or just work a part time job that doesn’t feel like work. Come be an important part of our fun and fast-growing team. Earn $65-$85 PER ONE HOUR CLASS. Maximum of one class a day. Fall, Winter and Spring Sessions. Full time Summer Camp Hours Available Also.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Mudskippers Pottery curriculum and manage a classroom of 10-25 students grades k-6.
• Take attendance and supervise parent pick-up.
• Responsibly maintain all teaching equipment and materials picked up once a week.
• Advocate a fun and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

• Be available minimum of 3 weekdays for a one hour class between the hours of 2:00pm-6:00pm.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned schools each day and to pick up supplies once a week.
• 100% reliability. Perfect attendance with zero late shows. Students will be waiting on you.
• Must pass background check.
• Must be willing to teach in Bethesda, Arlington and Northern Fairfax County.
• Must be fully vaccinated with proof of card as required by all school systems in the DMV.

All teachers must wear masks. Mudskippers must comply with some school districts’ mandates that all personnel teaching inside their building be fully vaccinated and have a vaccination card on file.
