Title: Data Analyst

Based at: Mucci International Marketing Inc., Kingsville, ON

Type of Employment: Full-Time, permanent, 5-days a week; and some additional hours which may include Saturdays, depending on workload, priorities and travel requirements.

Primary Job Function: The Data Analyst will work closely with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence (‘BI’) Development Team, and other systems analysts to analyze business requirements; and translate them into Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence (DW/BI) solutions.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Consult on BI capabilities and recommend and execute solutions to address business needs and performance requirements
• Extend the Data Warehouse with data from new sources, applying: data lineage analysis; SQL schema DDL design; and business model and content development
• Design, develop, and implement DW/BI solutions using: Famous ERP, Domo Business Cloud, Workday Adaptive Planning and other solutions
• Define, design, document and implement required customizations and extensions to existing models. Analyze impact on DW/BI application before making any changes to the system
• Perform peer design and code review
• Regularly assess data integrity to make sure developed BI tools are presenting information accurately.
• Effectively communicate highly technical information to functional, technical team members and management
• Communicate issues and solutions in a clear and concise manner
• Interact with peers, consultants, IT help desk, and management personnel to resolve issues
• Keep peers, consultants and managers informed on progress and the status of issues
• Effective in interacting with users when designing, documenting, completing, and testing assignments
• Travel as required.
• Any additional duties or tasks as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Applications Development or related field;
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in the Oracle Datawarehouse/ Business Intelligence environment
• Database and application development experience using formal software development life cycle
• Solid experience in designing, developing and implementing an enterprise DW/BI system using Oracle enterprise technology
• Strong SQL development skills.
• The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to work with professionalism and confidentiality, and is able to work independently and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment

Physical Abilities:

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk and bend for extended periods.
• Must be able to deal with challenging situations and resolve issues promptly
