Terms of Employment

Effective for the 2023-2024 school year.

Purpose

The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a learning environment that challenges students at all ability levels and encourages inquiry, collaboration and creativity. Teacher will be required to integrate technology into classroom activities; differentiate instruction; effectively utilize formative and summative assessments; use data to inform instruction; etc.

Qualifications

Certified teacher in the state of Indiana. Historical Perspectives license required. Preferred candidates will also have Psychology, Economics or Sociology on their license. Must have the certification required to teach Dual Credit classes or willingness to work toward completion of a master’s degree in United States History or 18 graduate credit hours in United States History in addition to a master’s degree in some other field. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
