About The Role –
The Majestic Shower company is looking to recruit a Junior Finance Assistant with great organisational skills. The role is critically important to us as you will be the first point of contact for the day to day running of the Finance department.
The department is currently made up of two positions and this role is an expansion on a busy department.
This role will be based at home and two days in our office in Great Dunmow Essex. The successful applicant will work closely with other members of the Finance Team, take ownership of their work whilst interacting closely with other departments within the business. The role requires excellent numerical and literacy skills, fantastic time management and a professional attitude to all working relationships
The key purpose of this role is to provide support to the Finance Director & Finance Assistant
The role includes the following tasks:
– Ensure that Purchase Invoices are authorised for payment by relevant department managers and matched to purchase orders where applicable
– Query discrepancies from goods received to invoicing on purchase orders
– Reconciling supplier statements
– Requesting copy invoices
– Reporting and processing supplier payment runs
– Collating PODs for goods delivered to customers
– Chasing couriers for timely POD receipt
– Invoicing customers
– Sending statements and chasing payment dates for customers
– Assist with period end procedures
– Maintain CRM activities
– Monitor email account
Key Skills & Experience
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work flow and meet tight deadlines, such as month end
Demonstrate flexibility when handling multiple tasks
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office products. (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint etc.)
Experience in CRM and ERP system would be advantages.
Use of Accounting software, preferably Sage
