MRS GERRYS KITCHEN LLC Hiring for Human Resources Specialist at Albert Lea, MN Full Time

Mrs. Gerry’s was founded in 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. We are a premier salad and side manufacturer and offers 120 different products which are sold coast to coast. We are searching for a Human Resources professional who is eager to perform required duties while supporting human resources, managers, and employees. There will be a focus on recruiting, employee engagement, and building relationships. Position will to Director of Human Resources and Safety.
Position responsibilities:

• Performing effective and pleasant two-way communication between employees and leadership.
• Scheduling and conducting best practices for onboarding, orientation, training and development, performance management, and workforce analytics.
• Coordinate, schedule and manage employee events.
• Assist HR Generalist in strengthening employee engagement and plant morale.
• Manage concerns related to employee relations including disciplinary, terminations, and investigations.
• Complete full cycle recruiting for hourly positions; develop and post internal and external job openings, online and HR recruiting systems management, background checks, drug screens, extend offers of employment, onboarding, orientation set-up and delivery, file management, etc.
• Timely processing of all recruitment steps in Indeed and ADP, including but not limited to communicating with candidates daily, scheduling interviews, tracking progress, and following through with managers request to extend offers.
• Process unemployment claims and represent Mrs. Gerry’s at scheduled hearings.
• Attend community and internal meetings that enhances the outcomes for recruitment, human resources, safety, event planning, and overall communications promoting Mrs. Gerry’s.
• Update processes and policies as needed to ensure best practices are in place.
• Support first of injury process and post-accident drug screen scheduling.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associates Degree or equivalent HR experience
• 1+ years of HR experience
• Manufacturing or distribution experience highly preferred
• Hourly recruiting experience
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Creative, critical, and strategic thinker
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Exceptional communications; written and verbal
• Presentation skills
• PHR or other HR certifications preferred or working towards relevant certifications
• Intermediate level Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• Exposure to HRIS systems; ADP preferred and will train as needed
