Job Description

This position is responsible for performing dispatch functions in a manner that will ensure prompt, efficient delivery of MPW services to its customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Schedule manpower and equipment for upcoming jobs.
• Constantly update and analyze the schedule to reflect daily changes and ensure the resources are being schedule in the most efficient way possible.
• Schedule equipment ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Notify drivers with their assignments.
• Prepare job information packets (directions, work orders, safety documents, etc.)
• Update status on equipment and loads.
• Answer incoming calls and direct to the appropriate party.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Required Skills

• This position handles emergency responses to customer needs and insuring all personnel, equipment and supplies are dispatched quickly.
• Solving material, personnel or equipment shortage or surpluses. Requires relocating equipment from other jobs.
• Has the authority to make unsupervised decisions consistent with the scope of responsibilities.

Required Experience

• High School Education with specialization in industrial or vocational trades.
• Advanced knowledge in dispatching in a service industry or from several years in a field position at MPW.
• Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
• 1-2 years of dispatch experience involving trucks preferred.
