We are looking for an experienced VP of Sales to join our team in East Granby, CT. Job Functions

As VP of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of successful prospecting salespeople, as well as providing ongoing coaching to these individuals to ensure future success. This role is also responsible for assisting management to establish a strategy to identify and target new market and customer potential. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

• Effectively administer Salesforce CRM software and ensure complete usage by sales team
• Represent them at company meetings and functions
• Develop manufacturing market knowledge
• Identify and on market trends and requirements
• Participate in any new product or market evaluation strategies and decisions
• Strong strategic thinking, planning, organization and communication skills a must
• Ability to build strong working relationship with their existing team at all levels
• Ensure customer satisfaction for both our distributors and end user customers we serve.
• Travel as necessary to meet with customers

Job Requirements

• The candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years’ applicable experience related to the manufacturing industry with a successful track record of leading salespeople.
• Experience working in a company that introduced and manufactured products is preferred.
• High-level technical skills are not required but this person will need to be comfortable working with technical people and identify when and how to utilize the support team in the prospecting process.
• Strong work ethic and follow-through are musts.
• Overnight travel will happen frequently (could be 50% in the beginning, 25% on average)
