About this Role

Mounties Group has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic and busy team in Mount Prichard on a part-time (4 days per week) basis on a temporary maximum contract of up to 6 months.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your main focus will be to assist in the maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting for the Mounties Group.

More specifically, some duties may include:

• Assisting with preparing month end journals
• Monthly reconciliation of General Ledger accounts including fixed assets
• Assist with compiling financial reports
• Support Accounts Receivable role as required

About You!

• Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, with competent reconciliation skills
• Minimum Tafe qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
• Computer literacy skills and proficiency in various accounting software
• High level of professionalism with sensitivity to confidential issues
• Positive and professional attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work efficiently whist managing a range of responsibilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
