Mountain Lake Academy Hiring for Math Teacher Job at Lake Placid, NY Full Time

Mountain Lake Academy is an experiential based program that works with students in grades 7-12 at a year round boarding school located in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. Mountain Lake Academy provides a variety of experiential-based programming boys in grades 7-12. These experiences include hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, multi-day expeditions, and vocational programming.

Classroom Teacher of Students with Disabilities (7-12) – Looking for a teacher in a 6:1+1 classroom setting. Certification preferred. Math experience preferred. The school provides a blended learning environment using a one to one iPad model.

Duties Include:

• Providing instruction to students in grades 7-12 (adolescent males ages 12-21)
• Skills and knowledge using technology in the classroom is preferred.
• Support the mission, goals and values of MLA and role model appropriate behavior for students and staff.
• Communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Attend and participate in all required training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree (minimum).
• NY Teaching Certification is required.
• Documentation and time management skills essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
