Department Overview Develop software for new products and provide software support for

existing products as may be required across our product range.

Job Description

Core objectives include

Write specifications and design documents for new Barrett products and

product enhancements.

Design software and firmware for Barrett products and supporting

systems and document the designs using industry standard methods and

tools.

Develop, test and release software and firmware for new and existing

legacy Barrett products.

Maintain existing products, responding to CARs and Redmine issues,

generating ECNs when appropriate.

Document software and systems, helping to produce user manuals,

technical support manuals, etc.

The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the

overall objectives of the company.

Basic Requirements

Excellent understanding of Linux and its development.

Linux device driver development and troubleshooting.

Experienced with writing software targeting microcontrollers and

Embedded Linux.

Proficiency in programming C, C43;43;, C

Experience with scripting such as Python, BASH, Javascript

Writing clean, easily maintainable code to meet system requirements,

system designs and technical specifications.

Understanding of electronics and schematics
