Mortgage Loan Processor Job at Fitchburg, WI US Full Time

Oak Bank, a locally owned community bank in Fitchburg WI, is currently looking for a Mortgage Loan Processor/Specialist to join our team.

Job Duties:

• Processing and underwriting mortgage loan files according to regulatory, secondary market, and in-house guidelines while meeting specific timeframes throughout the mortgage origination and closing process.
• Understanding of TRID and HMDA regulations.
• Ordering supporting documentation such as appraisals and title work.
• Importing and reviewing appraisals to make sure they meet investor standards.
• Reviewing title insurance.
• Obtaining documents such as verification of employment and verification of deposits needed to clear investor conditions.
• Documenting residential mortgage loans.
• Booking mortgage loans.
• Locking rates and delivering loans to Investors.
• Assisting our Mortgage Lenders with clients.
• Answering general loan servicing questions from clients, title companies, appraisers, and lenders.
• Prepare Home Equity loan documents.

Required Knowledge, Skills:

• Knowledge of conventional FNMA/FHLB loans.
• Knowledge of Desktop Underwriter program.
• Knowledge of MortgageBot.
• Knowledge of FISERV.
• Knowledge of Wolters Kluwer ComplianceOne Mortgage.
• Knowledge of DocuSign.
• Knowledge of State and Federal real estate lending regulations.
• Knowledge of loan operating software systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
• Good problem solving skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task with sometimes frequent interruptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player.

Required Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage processing in a financial institution.
• Previous mortgage processing experience should include a basic knowledge of mortgage compliance regulations, income and asset analysis, credit report review, and a working knowledge/understanding of secondary market (FNMA) underwriting requirements.
• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate and/or a similar field of education is preferred.

Days and hours of work are afternoons Monday through Friday, 8am until 5pm on-site at Oak Bank.
