Mortgage House is an active participant in the Securitisation (RMBS) market.
POSITION SUMMARY This is a key role in the financial accounting team, taking responsibility for supporting the completion of financial accounting, reporting and forecasting. This role will have specific responsibility of the management of financial and regulatory reporting, completing regular reconciliation and establishing financial controls and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete monthly financial reporting and variance analysis as required including addressing all unidentified transactions and providing insights
• Regulatory reporting to APRA, ABS as required
• Managing Trust MYOB files
• Responsible for the completion, data integrity and accuracy for post accruals and accrued interest received in relation to Trust Accounts
• Oversee cash flow of Trust Accounts ensuring all funds are available when required
• GST/Tax preparation
• Utilisation of corporate finance facilities
• Assist with audit activities as required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a Treasury role with exposure to securitisation reporting within a Financial Services company would be highly advantageous
• Sound knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices
• Broad experience in accounting systems and processes
• Practiced general accounting skills involving financial statement preparation and methods of financial control and reporting
• Knowledge in electronic account reconciliations, specifically bank reconciliations
• MYOB experience
• Advanced Excel financial modelling
• 5+ years experience in a relevant role

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
• CPA/CA qualified or currently enrolled
