Accounts Officer

We are looking for an experienced individual who can work within a challenging, fast paced, dynamic and friendly environment. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work efficiently and effectively ensuring strict attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. The main purpose of the role is to provide end to end accounts payable and data entry support for the Finance team.

Responsibilities include:

• Data entry of invoices
• Coding to the general ledger
• Daily banking – Loading payments if needed
• Daily banking – Receipting
• Generating the invoices
• Petty cash reconciliation
• Deposit cheques if required
• Setting up suppliers in the systems

Key Selection Criteria:

• Degree qualification (Business/Commerce) preferred not required
• Committed to quality standards and procedures
• A very high attention to detail
• Intermediate skills in the MS Office suite and exposure to accounting packages such as MYOB
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A strong desire to learn, responsibility for your work and commitment to professional development
• Excellent customer / supplier service skills
• Able to work under pressure and meeting deadline
