About The Role

Are you an ambitious, technically strong qualified Accountant who is Practice trained and looking for a first step into a commercial environment? or perhaps you’re a Financial Accountant with some exposure to statutory and tax accounting who is looking to take on a Group role?

We have an exciting fully remote opening for a Financial Accountant with 3 years PQE to join us as our Group Financial Accountant. In this position you will manage interim and year end consolidation and financial reporting processes, forecasts and annual budgets, engaging with project teams and all areas of the business on all aspects of technical accounting advice and reporting requirements.

In this high-profile role, you’ll join our group Finance capability which supports our Home Collect Credit and Digital divisions at a key stage in shaping the regulatory reporting environment across our group. You’ll have financial accounting experience as well as experience advising on or reporting under IFRS9 or IFRS16.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing, AIM listed, people centric Consumer Finance business, in a role offering high level exposure and interaction with the FD, CFO and group wide teams.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will have a significant level of responsibility, leading on the production of Annual Financial Statements, Regulatory reports and the delivery of all technical accounting requests. Key responsibilities include;

In addition, you will strive to ensure adequate Financial Controls are in place, encourage an attitude of continuous service improvement and actively contribute to and advise on business issues, projects and new initiatives.

About You

You will be a qualified Accountant (3 years PQE) with outstanding knowledge of reporting standards, excellent analytical skills and previous experience of statutory and tax reporting in a large group (£100m+). You will be an excellent communicator, well organised with advanced Excel skills and forensic attention to detail.
