Tax Manager – Public Accounting Firm

Required Skills:

• Must have experience in tax return preparation and review of Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120 and 1120S.
• Understanding tax consulting and planning, e.g.. analyzing proposed transactions for unusual tax risks for undetermined tax benefits
• Ability to analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
• Understanding tax research of authoritative and non-authoritative sources using a variety of platforms. (Wolters Kluwer CCH Answer Connect, Bloomberg Tax). Draft tax technical memorandums.
• Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable development.
• Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements through identification of current client needs and target client requirements.
• Develop subordinates’ technical and industry skills and encourage personal growth.

Required Experience:

• CPA required, MST preferred.
• Minimum of 9 years tax experience in Public Accounting.
• Strong tax research and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking by leading by example.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year
