Coordinator – Finance Operations

• Permanent full-time, based in Rosebud | Flexible working arrangement options, hybrid WFH model
• Band 6 – $88,7474 plus Super
• Responsible for the coordination and supervision of transactional operations for Accounts Payable, Sundry Debtors and Treasury.

About the role

This position is to oversee the financial operations, along with promoting and coordinating Council’s accounts payable and cash management guidelines, related functions and processes across the organisation.

Core responsibilities include:

• Develop process and system improvements within the Finance Operations team including by not limited to procedures and guidelines.
• Prepare and distribute regular reporting of data analytics.
• Provide leadership and management to the direct reports to ensure delivery of planned outcomes and alignment with Council values.
• Develop, implement, and review plans to support each team member to achieve ideal outcomes, make decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Project manage key initiatives and projects to achieve desired outcomes.
• Deliver on data analytics and aged payable listing in a timely, accurate and succinct manner.

Skills, experience, and other requirements

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting/Business or relevant field.
• Required knowledge in budgeting, accounting, and financial procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
• Competency and comfort utilising Excel and analytical tools.
• Experience in local government or other complex organisations is desirable.
• Change management desirable.
• Technology One (T1) knowledge desirable.
• Local Government Act 2020 knowledge desirable.
