We need a Talent & Culture (HR) Business Partner for a 12 month contract who can bring experience with local employment laws and best practices to the role and understand the work we do, the kinds of people who succeed here, and how people work together across the company globally. The goal is to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and goal attainment. This position will work in the Sydney office and report to the Managing Director of the Australia business and the Talent & Culture Business Partner Practice Leader in Chicago. This is 12 month contract role.
The T&C Business Partner will:
- Be excited to work with a global team, sharing local knowledge, understanding our corporate culture and bring able to bridge the two
- Bring a demonstrated strength in employee relations and Australian employment law by providing first level consultation for grievances, investigations and performance management issues; advising on policies, programs, procedures, escalating anything more complex.
- Own HR Benefits Administration including vendor contract management, annual policy renewals and reporting and invoice processing, and support payroll as needed
- Assist in running a variety of our people processes, including the exit & off-boarding process, annual talent management processes, compensation and promotion processes
- Participate in HR Projects including Employee Engagement Survey results analysis, managing Tenure Award programs, wellness programs, DEI initiatives, annual policy review and update
- Facilitate compliance/training activities in line with legislative requirements; collaborate with global Learning & Development team to bring corporate training initiatives to the local audience
- Enjoy collaborating locally and globally, be motivated to working autonomously with an eye for continued process/program improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources or related discipline with knowledge of Australian employment/legislative framework
- 4+ years of progressive growth in the HR field, ideally an HR Partner/Generalist within a larger global organization
- Bring knowledge of working within a matrix organization supporting different business units
- Listen actively, communicate clearly and be able to work with all levels across the organization
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- High degree of professionalism and integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential issues in a professional manner
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the flexibility and willingness to respond to changing priorities
- Know your way around the Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, etc…)
