Morningside College Hiring for Visiting Professor of Education at Sioux City, IA Full Time

The Sharon Walker School of Education at Morningside University invites applications for a Visiting Professor of Education to begin August 2022 to provide instruction and support for initial licensure and endorsement programs in the unit. This is a full-time position for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Responsibilities:
Teach 24 credits over the academic year in undergraduate and graduate initial licensure or endorsements programs.

Prepare, deliver, and assess student learning in coursework, which may include courses in these areas: foundations of education, reading methods, elementary methods, human relations and communication for educators, educational psychology, or diversity in education.

Complete student assessments and professional dispositions as required for teacher candidate progression.

Participate in the work of the unit as appropriate, including contributing to departmental committees and curriculum redesign as qualified and needed.

Advise and consult with undergraduate students as assigned by department chair.

Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in curriculum and instruction, education, or closely related field.

Licensure as an elementary or middle school teacher, and K-12 teaching experience are required.

Multiple licensure/endorsements and significant higher education teaching experience are preferred.
