Brief Summary of Job Duties
The job duties include: Working with the Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center’s (EDAC) Director and the R.I.D.E Advisory Board to develop strategies for the program; implementing plans and tracking the program’s progress; managing operations of the newly launched Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Returning Citizens Inspired to Development Entrepreneurial Ventures (R.I.D.E.) Center; supporting returning citizen entrepreneurs through the new Business Center with services throughout the surrounding Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMC) area; overseeing the Business Center to support the development and growth of small businesses owned and operated by returning citizens; providing one-on-one assistance, entrepreneurship training, workshops, cohort-based learning and virtual and in-person education and networking events.
Requested Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from an accredited College or University. A minimum of six (6) years of experience with demonstrated success relevant to EDAC’s work around entrepreneurship and working with formerly incarcerated individuals. A Minimum of six (6) years’ of proven experience in a leadership is role also required.

Occasional evening and weekend hours, in addition to travel, are required for this position.
This position is a contractual position. “Contractual employee” means a person who under a written agreement provides personal services to the University for remuneration, for a specific period of time and is not employed in a budgeted position. Faculty, students, consultants and independent contracts are excluded from this definition.1.Contractual employees at Morgan State University shall be eligible for certain benefits to include compensation for eight (8) holidays, six (6) days of annual leave and three (3) days of leave which can be used for either personal reasons or for illness. Benefits for part-time employees shall be earned at a rate of 50% of full-time contractual employees. Contractual employees whose contracts are funded by external sources (e.g., grants) may be eligible for greater benefits.
