JOB OBJECTIVE:

Drives defect reduction, process improvement, and issue resolution utilizing problem solving and data analyzing skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Drives defects to root cause, implements countermeasure, and s Customer concern response.

· Pilot review product changes and coordination.

· Utilizes statistical data to establish base-line metrics, opportunity justification, project prioritization, and gauging / ing improvement.

· Works with Engineering and programming on material requirements and sheet utilization for maximum sheet utilization through nesting programs.

· Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient Lean production methods.

· Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

· Understands how to perform time studies, create/maintain standard work instructions, and document within change control systems.

· Ability to work other shifts and Saturday Support as needed.

· Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’sPPS team efforts.

· Adheres to Quality Policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.

· Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree in an Engineering Discipline or Current Engineering Student with Relevant Experience
3D Modeling Experience Preferred.
Knowledgeable of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Statistical Analysis and ing
Strong communication skills: Verbal/Written
Electronic Sketching
Problem solving, “go and see”
Basic PC skills
2 years’ experience with CNC programing/ nesting minimum.
