Morgan Hunt are thrilled to be working with a fantastic Educational Institute in the Oxfordshire area who are looking for an experienced HR professional to join their senior leadership team. This role would suit someone who has a background in Human Resources with experience of operating at a strategic level across the organisation and experience in organisational development and embedding strategies which positively impact the success of an organisation.
The Director of Human Resources will play a key role in developing the organisation’s HR strategy and ensuring the delivery of an effective and high performing HR service across the institution. The post-holder will be a member of the organisation’s senior leadership team and will cover the full range of HR tasks and also co-ordinate the institution’s organisational development functions.
Essential Criteria:
An appropriate professional HR qualification
Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best HR practice
Previous experience of working successfully in an HR role, including:
Management of HR staff
The ability to provide pragmatic and effective advice, and solutions to difficult issue
Case management (in the areas of ill-health, capability, discipline, and grievance etc.)
Recruitment and selection process
Effective use of HR information systems
Training and mentoring HR staff
Demonstrate skills in the following areas:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Negotiation and influencing skills
Strong organisational, planning and project management skills
Proven ability to successfully train staff on process and procedures
A knowledge of and commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety and their applications in this role
An understanding of the challenges associated with developing a diverse workforce and the opportunities it brings.
