We have an exciting permanent opportunity available for a HR Officer based in the Northeast.
Reporting into the HR Manager, the HR Officer will assist on the provision of a comprehensive HR support and advice service to designated managers within the College.
Salary up to 25,500k p.a.
Full time 37 hours per week onsite

Role HR Officer
Provide assistance associated with the Human Resources Department, (e.g., recruitment, employment, development and dismissal of staff, contracts, probationary reviews, sickness, etc.).
Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of relevant employment legislation and College policies and procedures.
To regularly review and amend HR practices to ensure they are up-to-date and fit for purpose.
Maintain and update confidential HR personnel files/records for all staff.
Undertake projects as directed by the HR Manager.
Undertake appropriate investigations in accordance with college procedures providing specialist advice and guidance to managers in relation to employment matters, including disciplines, grievances etc.
Prepare reports for managers as directed. To assist and advise managers in the preparation and presentation of reports and appeals as required.
Skills and Experience HR Officer
Qualified to Level 3 CIPD
Awareness of employment legislation and knowledge of HR processes/practices
Experience of advising managers/staff on HR related matters
Experience in the input and maintenance of HR Databases
Experience of working in an office environment with proven ability in the use of IT, including Microsoft Office software
