Morgan Fabrics Corporation Hiring for Samples Department Supervisor at Los Angeles, California Full Time

Overall Description:

This position’s main function is to supervise and manage the Sample Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organizing, making and tracking domestic and overseas samples for trade shows and general stock
• Managing, planning and organizing a staff of 5
• Processing orders and shipping for samples
• Re-organize stock according to season and inventory
• Working with sales in regards to orders and special projects
• Assist in making samples (cutting, labeling, trimming)

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong organization skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to compose correspondence
• Possess active listening skills
• Be customer oriented with the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Have the ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently
• Fluency in Spanish a plus but not required
• High attention to detail and focus
• Must follow policies and procedures
• Must have good attendance
• Must observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions.

Education and /or Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Sample Department, preferably in the Textiles industry
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a managerial role
• High school diploma
