An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and driven Financial officer to join our Head Office team. This is a full-time permanent role, based at our Sydney CBD office.

Salary $60K – $70K per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation.

You will report to the Senior Accountant and support the finance function by performing a range of financial support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining Accounts Receivable Ledger.
• Monthly billing and invoicing.
• Assisting our Senior Accountant with payroll functions.
• Processing Bond and Rental receipts and refunds.
• Following up on outstanding accounts.
• Assisting clients with fee queries.
• Distribution of weekly reports such as Occupancy report and cash flow forecast.
• Preparation and Reconciliation of monthly financial reports to the finance department.

About you

With a background in Finance or Accounting, you will be passionate about numbers, organised, proactive, and thrive in a detail orientated environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must, as is the ability to build relationships internally and externally. Additionally, you will have:

• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• A minimum of two years’ experience in accounting
• Time management skills, ability to prioritise and plan
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with competing deadlines
• Attention to detail & accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills, polite in approach
• Knowledge of Aged Care Act and Retirement Village Act (desirable)
