The vacancy
Moore Barlow is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our established Talent Acquisition team. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, ideally based 1-3 days per week in Guildford, with the remaining days from home or one of our other offices. We will also consider candidates interested in working from our Southampton offices on the same hybrid basis.
We are different – although a Top 100 Law firm, we strive to be ‘Human First’ in everything we do. This means we truly care about our teams as well as our clients. We give people the space and flexibility in where and how they work to provide the best experience to our teams and clients alike. This means much more than just hybrid working – we are ambitious and seek to be recognised as the best law firm to work for. Whether you work within our legal teams, or one of our support functions, you’ll find a Career with Moore Barlow rewarding with plenty of opportunity for personal growth and development.
It’s an exciting time to join the Talent Acquisition team. We have just completed implementing our new ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and will shortly move onto a number of projects including relaunching our EVP to showcase what a career with Moore Barlow is really able to offer. We are also soon to launch Moore Barlow’s first ever programmatic advertising campaigns, as well as moving to phase two of our maturity matrix. In short – this is an opportunity that offers a mix of both business as usual talent acquisition, and the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of improvement projects.
As Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will work closely with our Talent Acquisition Manager and Head of Talent Acquisition in directly recruiting across a range of roles including legal trainees, legal assistants, paralegals and solicitors. You will also be involved in recruiting within our corporate services divisions. We are passionate about providing an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience, and you will work with our established systems and processes to deliver outstanding customer service.
Day to Day:
You’ll likely spend a good portion of the day on the phone, engaging with and understanding the needs of our hiring managers and candidates, expertly matching skills and behaviours to your allocated open vacancies. You’ll be confident in the use of LinkedIn to source suitable candidates, as well as CV databases (such as Indeed, Totaljobs, CV-Library), our established networks and social media to source and engage the right people in our business. You’ll be as passionate about the candidate experience as we are, so providing regular updates and advising our hiring managers on best practice also forms a key part of your day to day.
What we look for:
You’ll have previous experience as an in-house Talent Acquisition Advisor or Recruitment Advisor. You may have gained this experience within the legal sector, however this experience is not essential and we will consider candidates who have experience gained in the Professional Services Sector. We are also able to consider candidates who have a purely agency recruitment background, where this experience has been within the legal sector. If you’re a Recruitment Coordinator managing your own roles, we would also encourage you to apply.
If you’re passionate about providing an exceptional hiring experience, love to find those hard to reach people and enjoy learning new skills and ways of working – you sound like the ideal fit and we’d love to hear from you by way of an application.
