Description
The Accounting Manager is essential in the preparation of financial reports to determine and maintain record of assets, liabilities, income, expenses, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization. This position works with financial information that requires confidentiality and proper safeguarding. The Accounting Manager ensures adherence to various accounting standards and tax laws.
Responsibilities
– Manage and oversee daily operations of all Accounting duties
– Monitor and analyze acting data including providing recommendation to improve procedures.
– Perform general cost accounting, accounting records, and other related duties in daily administration of business.
– Prepare monthly financial statements to include preparation of monthly balance sheet, income statement, report on changes in financial position/budget variances. Maintain all related records.
– Report to management regarding the finances of Moore Industries, Inc.
– Maintain general leger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, account analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts.
– Perform bank reconciliations monthly, verify all deposits and disbursements, address questions and problems from banking institution.
– Perform accounts payable duties such as verifying and recording all invoices for payment, ensure expenditures are approved, charged to appropriate accounts, and payments issued to vendors in accordance with payment terms.
– Perform accounts receivable duties such as invoicing customers for payment, recording payments when received, and following up with customers on balances due.
– Maintain payroll recording and allocation after payroll is processed.
– Maintain accounting records for fixed assets.
– Assist outside CPA firm at year-end to include preparing schedules, invoices, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data.
– Annually file all appropriate tax forms and report with government agencies.
– Maintain and update records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material.
– Prepare inventory evaluations and update accounting records as needed.
– Perform audits as required by ISO 9001:2015 standards.
– Prepare and analyze data related to daily production operations.
– Recommend, design, and implement any necessary department controls.
– Report any safety issues immediately.
– Other duties and secondary functions as assigned.

Physical
– Work at a desk for a normal 8-hour shift
– Due to time-sensitive nature of manufacturing, some overtime including 12-hour shifts and weekend work may be required
– Must wear personal protective equipment as required
Preferred Education and Experience
– Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with Major in Accounting/Finance or related field
– Previous work experience as Accounting Manager/Supervisor required
– Previous experience in Manufacturing or related setting preferred
– Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
– Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
– Detail oriented with high level of attention to financial accuracy
– Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
