We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Finance Assistant to join an expanding Finance team to support the Moonpig Group. This will play a key role within the Financial Operational team, supporting the Accounts Payable Supervisor with Transactional Accounting as well as Financial Accounting across the entire group
This role is London based, with hybrid working available.

What You’ll Be Doing


    • Accounts Payable
    • Purchase ledger invoice posting, reconciling statements and meeting monthly Accounts Payable closure deadlines across different entities based in the UK and Netherlands;
    • day-to-day processing of allocated purchase invoices, ensuring that invoices are correct and that any discrepancies are investigated and dealt with appropriately;
    • High volume of data entry on a daily basis;
    • Setting up supplier accounts and handling supplier enquiries;
    • Processing payment runs;

    • Prepayments
    • Preparing the prepayment schedule at month end
    • Posting of prepayments
    • Balance sheet reconciliations

    • Royalties
    • Timely preparation of royalty statements
    • Preparation and management of royalty income
    • Act as first point of contact for all royalty queries

    • Intercompany
    • Responsibility over Intercompany recharges
    • Intercompany reporting at month end
    • Reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
    • Intercompany billings to other group companies and reconciliation of costs and recharges

    • Ad-hoc
    • Assisting with audit queries
    • Occasional updating of process manuals and other ad hoc duties
    • Dealing with finance queries in conjunction with other team members

You’ll be a good addition to the Finance team if you:

    • Have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. AAT Qualified, or equivalent and looking to develop into further studies.
    • Have experience working in a plc environment (preferred, but not essential)
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to prioritise workload around deadlines
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at every level across the business.
    • A self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative.
    • A willingness to take on more responsibility and progress your career in a high performing Finance team.
    • Capable of delivering information in an efficient manner
    • Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
