Poinciana Elementary is hiring a 1st grade Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
Base Salary range: $56,800-$92,200 (see attached for details)

FL certification in Elementary Education K–6 or Prekindergarten/Primary Education (age 3 through grade 3 is preferred.

How to become FL certified in Elementary Education (grades K-6):

• Frequently accepted undergraduate and graduate majors for a Florida temporary educator’s certificate include: Elementary Education 1-6, K-6, N/K-6, K-3, K-4, K-8, K-9, Upper Elementary 4-6
• For any other major, pass the FTCE Subject Area Exam in Elementary Education K–6. The testing website is located at http://www.fl.nesinc.com/tests.asp. Testing centers are located nationwide. Study materials are available for purchase with The Learning Liaisons and https://www.240tutoring.com/.
• Another option is holding a valid, out-of-state, professional educator’s certificate.

How to become FL certified in Prekindergarten/Primary Education (age 3 through grade 3):

• Frequently accepted undergraduate and graduate majors for a Florida temporary educator’s certificate include: Early Childhood Education if NK-3, NK-4, or Birth-Age 8; P-5, N-6, NK-6, Prekindergarten/Primary Education.
• For any other major, pass the FTCE Subject Area Exam in Prekindergarten/Primary PK–3. The testing website is located at http://www.fl.nesinc.com/tests.asp. Testing centers are located nationwide.
