JOB SUMMARY: ing to the Chief People Officer, the Vice President, Talent Management will lead the strategies, processes, and roadmaps that drive the acquisition, development, and retention of talent for Monarch Landscape Companies. The Key focus areas include recruiting, talent assessment, talent development, culture building, and assessing people / culture at potential new investments. The Vice President of Talent Management will work closely with our leaders to bring world-class people and talent practices to our family of companies through a focus on our employee value proposition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the organizational strategy for all Talent Management functions regarding a Talent strategy, Employee Retention, Succession and Talent Planning, Employee Onboarding and Learning and Development.
• Develop and implement leadership development strategies, programs and processes aligned with the company’s business objectives.
• Design, develop and implement critical talent cycle components such as leadership development programs and curriculum, key experiences, career paths, career development planning and mapping talent strategies to business growth plans.
• Drive a world-class candidate experience and cultivate a true partnership with executives, hiring managers, and human resources business partners to develop and execute optimal recruiting strategies.
• Provide day to day leadership, development, and management of any applicable team members, programs, systems, services, and vendors.
• Build a system of increased accountability concerning retention around the quality of hire during the employee’s life cycle.
• Own the execution of the Company’s formal compensation program, assessing market data and internal equity. Continuously follow market trends and employee retention details to evolve and adjust the program to acquire and cultivate talent growth. Advise company leaders and finance business partners on job pricing to ensure budget alignment.
• Spearhead the execution of strategic plans and monitors results. Devise organizational strategy and high-level implementation plan with metrics.
• Manage compensation to balance external pressures from candidates with internal pay equity, maintaining a compensation program that allows the Company to both attract and retain top talent.
• Develop and use data and talent analytics to understand trends, establish strategic practices that enhance quality of hire, build compelling business cases, and drive sound decision-making around talent acquisition and movement.
• Create talent acquisition programs that drive focused efforts on diversity and inclusion and cultivate organizational accountability to support diversity goals and strategies.
• Stay apprised of compensation and employment trends in each of the Company’s geographic areas, analyzing and applying this information to develop strategies for staying ahead of potential hiring or retention challenges.
• Drive the development and delivery of internal resources that foster a talent mindset across all employees and provide hiring managers with tools to aid in optimal hiring decisions.
• Standardize the performance management of the organization to include talent calibrations, succession planning, performance assessments and development plans.
• Oversee vendor and agency relationships, contract terms, contract negotiations, and fulfillment of service-level agreements.
• Leverage company employee value proposition to ensure powerful employment branding that reflects the Company’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and innovation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in a Talent Management or Talent Development leadership role with a demonstrated track record of driving transformational improvements at increasing levels of complexity and organizational maturity in a high growth environment.
• Proven work experience in talent management, including leading teams and vendors in the program design and implementation of end-to-end employee development solutions that include the evaluation, design, and delivery of leadership development, talent analytics, high impact learning programs, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion best practices.

• Strong interpersonal skills, judgment, and a high ability to collaborate with and influence executives, managers, and the general associate population.
• Excellent strategic, consulting and process thinking abilities. Ability to simplify complex issues and take a pragmatic approach to organizational deliverables. Ability to architect and implement large changes and operate easily between concept and operation.
• Critical thinking to translate business needs into HR strategies; and translate HR strategies into specific goals, actions, and deliverables.

Pay range: $180,000 – $200,000
