Mometrix Test Preparation Hiring for Biology Writer for Educational Videos Job at Remote Full Time

We’re a test preparation company looking for a freelance writer to create biology scripts for our educational videos. The position is remote, and work is assigned on a per-project basis. The schedule is flexible, minimum one assignment per week. Writing work is compensated at a rate of $115 per project with each assignment being approximately 750-1,500 words. Job Duties:

• Research subjects related to each assignment’s specific topic

• Write high-quality, unique educational content

• Respond quickly to feedback and make necessary edits to your work

• Work with our project managers to ensure that your work meets specifications

• Bring your experience in the field to help students prepare for various exams

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in biology

• Education experience is strongly preferred

• Strong written communication skills

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Google Docs

• Initiative to work independently and ask questions

• Experience with video a plus

What an excellent application includes:

• Writing samples (even if you haven’t been published in a biology journal, you can still send us your blog posts if they demonstrate articulate, succinct, and accessible writing. This would also be how someone who doesn’t have much work experience but writes excellently can make their application stronger.)

The next step will be to submit a work sample and take the CCAT, a short aptitude test, and a quick computer proficiency test. We will assign a script to you and ask that you complete it in a reasonable amount of time. If we like the script and choose to hire you, we’ll pay you for that sample.
