L2 Help Desk Technician (Contractor) – Providing Expert Technical Support in the United States

Job Description:

Are you a skilled problem solver with a knack for providing top-notch technical support? We’re seeking an experienced L2 Help Desk Technician to join our team on a contractor basis, supporting our clients across the United States. In this role, you’ll be the go-to resource for resolving complex technical issues, ensuring our clients’ IT systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, providing expert-level support to end-users.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, utilizing your technical expertise to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Prioritize and manage tickets within established SLAs, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues that require escalation or specialized expertise.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions thoroughly, contributing to our knowledge base and enabling continuous improvement of support processes.
• Proactively identify recurring issues and opportunities for system optimization, working with stakeholders to implement preventative measures and enhancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical support role, with a focus on L2 support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications and productivity tools.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
• Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and support.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
