Job Description

We are looking for a Graduate Investment Analyst to undertake financial research and report on investment avenues. The successful candidate will study how an investment is likely to perform and how sustainable it is. You will participate in our sound portfolio-management strategy by providing the necessary data for our decision making process.

Your Responsibilities will include…

• Examining and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies

• Looking back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision

• Liaising with fund managers and networking with industry professionals

• Monitoring financial press closely and keep a track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products

• Compiling advisory reports and making informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios

• Developing complex financial models and analyse legal documents

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be confident, self-motivated and have a keen interest in current affairs. They will have excellent communication and research skills supported by their excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

We are looking for someone who shows:

• Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics

• Relevant paid or voluntary experience

• Excellent investment analysis software skills

• Strong numeric skills

• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

• A Degree (2:1 and above) in Maths, Finance, Accounting or related field
