Moët Hennessy Asia Pacific Hiring for Assistant Accountant Job at Sydney Full Time

Moët Hennessy Australia & New Zealand has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, this role will:

• Manage rebate accounting for all specialists, on-premise, and selected wholesale customers for both Australia and New Zealand
• Process conditional rebates and FTT including expense capture (accrual), settlement, contract tracking, reporting and reconciliation
• Perform thorough due diligence checks for all rebate and FTT payment requests to ensure all payments are supported by valid customer contracts and with appropriate approvals
• Manage Point of Sales Material (POSM) inventory accounting, Costs of selling (Distribution and duty/excise), as well as inventory reconciliation
• Maintain and manage a complex excel working file for import duty and excise reconciliation for both Australia and New Zealand
• Develop and maintain strong, effective working relationships with cross functional teams (primarily Sales and Business Planning) to ensure completeness and accuracy of Net Sales Income (NSI) – particularly in relation to FTT and conditional rebates
• Ensure that the Fixed Asset register is appropriately maintained for accounting and tax purposes and in accordance with group guidelines.

Your Profile – Skills & Experience Required

The skills and experience required to fulfill this role include:

• minimum 2 years in similar role and experience in rebate accounting, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• degree qualified in Finance and Accounting, or studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA).
• intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
• technical knowledge of SAP Vistex an advantage
• ability to develop solid relationships with cross-functional teams and external business partners
• logical and systematic mindset
• ability to work autonomously with strict deadlines and high-pressure situations
• excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
