Modine Manufacturing Company Hiring for Manufacturing Engineer at Racine, WI Full Time

Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer to focus on developing and improving manufacturing systems to support our Performance Technologies segment! This is a remote position with travel to Modine locations as needed.

What Will You Do?
You will be develop and coordinate the building of manufacturing systems for Modine plant operations. The manufacturing engineer designs, validates and implements manufacturing solutions that meet the product requirements and manufacturing goals. You will to the Director of Strategic Manufacturing Engineering. This position is remote with travel up to 20% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The principal activities of the manufacturing engineer involve projects related to fin machine design and tooling. You will manage the development of technologically advanced, next-generation equipment. This equipment may be stand alone, or be integrated into a large manufacturing cell.
• Work with personnel from Modine plants, Estimating, Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, Sample Shops, outside suppliers, and other contracted services. Investigate process and equipment problems at Modine locations and recommend solutions.
• Test new machine processes at outside suppliers.
• Write machine specifications for equipment to be designed and built either internally or at an outside supplier. The manufacturing engineer will manage the startup, qualification, acceptance, and safety compliance of this equipment before production use.
• Support programs for tooling development, replacement and process improvements to ensure machines meet OEE targets and quality metrics for qualified components.
• Make recommendations to maintain Global Process/Global Design specifications that controls equipment and tooling specifications.
• Coordinate the installation of manufacturing equipment at Modine facilities for responsible projects.
• Use CAD to design tooling and equipment concepts to aid in design of new tooling and equipment.
• Track responsible projects to ensure completion, meeting cost targets and communicating to the end customer.
• Provide technical assistance to Modine business units, including machine operator training at the plant level for responsible equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus in manufacturing is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering is required.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and tooling is required.
• Experience with CAD systems is required.
• Experience with APQP to support launching projects.

TRAVEL
Travel is measured up to 20% of the time to Modine locations, with 1-2 international trips per year.

Estimated Base Salary Range – $95,000 – $125,000
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
