The Role:
As Moderna continues to grow our international presence, we need an innovative and experienced in-house talent acquisition leader to build and amplify recruiting in our APAC region (Australia, Japan, S Korea, and other key markets in region). This includes managing a small team, while managing a full slate of ‘new to region’ searches. This role will be responsible to rapidly build talent pipelines, tenaciously hunt the best players in our industry, own and manage our APAC TA strategy, and be a strong and visible leader and talent business partner to our hiring leaders.

Here’s What You’ll Do:
Create the TA strategy for our APAC region – ensuring each market has a defined, scalable plan for hiring for 2022 and beyond. This also includes ongoing headcount management, reporting and resourcing and technology recommendations.
Partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders to lead recruiting efforts for our growing business functions, from Development through Commercialization.
Lead and develop a small regional TA team across time zones.
Tenaciously build talent pipelines through networking, employee referrals, cold-calling, events and other creative channels.
Help define and reinforce a consistent recruiting process at Moderna that results in a superior candidate and hiring manager experience. This includes robust manager kick-off sessions, interview team prep/debrief sessions, and use of mindsets-based interviewing skills and assigned focal areas.
Leverage talent intelligence to best inform hiring managers and guide them to make smart hiring decisions.
As needed, lead robust sourcing and recruitment marketing strategies for the APAC market in partnership with out Talent Attraction and Corporate Brand teams.
Develop strong partnerships with Moderna HR Business Partners, Total Rewards and HR/TA Operations teams.
Conduct in-depth talent video screens, in-person interviews (post-pandemic), and facilitate internal team discussions regarding candidates.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

10+ years of progressive recruiting experience – while most recent experience of working in an internal/in-house TA leadership role is required, complementary experience from external search firms is helpful.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Highly preferred to have prior experience of recruiting within high-growth biotech or pharma industry.
Ability to manage upwards of 15 mid /senior level searches (full life cycle) – from Specialist to Sr. Director/VP-level searches.
Fluency in English.
Ability to be in the Melbourne office 2-3 days/week, post-pandemic and travel to APAC regional office 2-3 times a year.
Demonstrable examples of working in a fast-paced environment, preferably with prior exposure to “growing” businesses and/or agile organizations.
Demonstrated commitment to being seen as a true ‘talent advisor’ to the business
Exceptional sourcing skills (you are a tenacious hunter that turns over every rock and naturally builds talent networks).
Strong verbal and written communication skills – you are outgoing, communicative, and seek to build relationships on a daily basis.
