Are you an experienced Developer who can learn new languages quickly? Modern Mill Solar has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level developer who can bring at least 2-4 years of JavaScript/React development experience to help us evolve awesome applications for the Solar Industry.

This is an on-prem role in the Chicago area. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation or sponsorship assistance.

Ideal candidates can partner with internal and external team members as a strong collaborator to manage our development environments and code branches. The ability to translate business requirements into production code deliverables is key.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Developer is a software engineer who will help take our cloud-based software to the next level of functionality and interactivity. Brings a cutting-edge design method to a fast-growing solar industry and want to help society transition to a more sustainable future.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as a strong team player that is open to help from others and is willing to teach others.

· Manage the development environments and code branches.

· Document critical project information for their projects.

· Translate business requirements into production code deliverables.

· Execute project deliverables from an Agile Backlog.

· Create flowcharts and other documentation to identify requirements for software and to propose possible solutions.

· Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process.

· Communicate with internal and external customers to establish documentation and maintenance procedures.

· Manage updates, bug fixes, and release processes.

· Completes all other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Required

• Proficiency with React JS
• Proficiency in node.js
• Proficiency with NoSQL and MySQL

Preferred

• MeteorJS experience
• MongoDB experience
• Zoho Deluge Scripting
• PHP experience
• Linux Server familiarity (any flavor)
• Experience with NginX and Apache

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, Mathematics, or related technical field, or three years’ relevant work experience equivalency preferred.

· Experience with data modeling, project management, and agile methodology.

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

· Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
