MMT Digital Hiring for Finance Placement 2022/23 Job at Uppingham, England Full Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic student with a passion for Finance to join us for their Year in Industry as part of their degree.

You’ll be working as part of the wider Finance team, where you’ll have several responsibilities designed to increase and deepen your knowledge and hands-on experience in this area. As a growing SME part of a large corporate group (MSQ) you’ll be exposed to a range of financial activities.

These will include:

• Raising and sending sales invoices in a timely manner
• Entering purchase invoices, bank transactions and expenses on to the system
• Debt Collection
• Managing the credit card statement including collection and allocation of receipts
• Assisting with incoming queries from clients, suppliers and colleagues
• Assisting with month end & Reconciliations
• Data entry to assist financial analysis
• Ad hoc tasks including supporting Office Manager with making payments on credit card and ordering items required by business

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside some incredibly passionate Finance professionals, who are committed to making MMT Digital a successful business, with a few of our current Exec team having started their MMT journey on a placement scheme, just like this one.

What you’ll bring

In order to flourish in this role, you’ll need the following:

• To be a current University student on a course that enables you to take an Industrial Placement Year (unfortunately if you have already graduated, or will graduate in 2022, you are not eligible for this role)
• Working towards a degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Management, Economics, or a similar field, with a clear passion and interest in Accounting

• Strong numeracy skills
• Confidence and assertiveness in communications with clients, suppliers and colleagues
• Flexible, reliable with a hardworking and positive attitude
• Confident with learning new systems and following policies and procedures
• Proactive with the ability to find solutions to overcome problems
• To be highly organised with an excellent eye for detail
• Clear communication skills – both in writing and verbally

It would also be great (but not essential) if you have:

• Completed modules in your degree that have given you a knowledge in technical accountancy
