Role Description
MMB’s engineering team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join us. The ideal candidate has direct experience qualifying electronic products in an agile development environment. This role is suited to those who are excited by the IoT, and have good working knowledge of QA best practices, processes and tools.
As a QA Tester, you will work with our QA team on requirements definition for test plan development, as well as acceptance and regression testing of new and existing IoT products. You will have opportunities to work on complex cross-functional projects for high-profile enterprise customers, and will gain experience with cutting edge technologies that are defining the next generation of connected devices.

The role of the QA Tester is key in maintaining this reputation by ensuring that our deliverables are subjected to consistent and rigorous qualification. You should have excellent communications skills, the ability to rapidly familiarize yourself with new products, and a love of creating advanced testing solutions from the ground up.

What You’ll be Doing
Developing detailed test plan documentation based on project requirements and specifications.
Developing automated test platforms from the ground up.
Working with existing test platforms.
Executing test plans.
Logging and describing issues discovered during testing.
Working with developers to resolve issues discovered during testing.
Communicating with dedicated test houses outside MMB to resolve issues encountered when working with third-party test platforms.
Interacting with clients to resolve issues encountered when qualifying third-party products.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years of QA experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
Development experience in two or more of the following: C, C#, Java, Python, and MySQL
Experience with gathering requirements, writing specifications and test plans
Experience with bug tracking and test management systems
(Asset) Experience with Embedded firmware in C
(Asset) Experience with ZigBee, WiFi, Z-Wave, BLE and Thread applications
(Asset) Experience with Linux systems
