The Role
Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the General Manager of Finance is a key senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction of the Finance function as well as the day-to-day operations of the Finance team.
You will be accountable for leading the ongoing transformation of Finance to deliver the finance roadmap and ensure an efficient and effective finance function. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will develop and implement finance procedures, strategies, controls and risk and governance frameworks to support the business. You will be responsible for finance operations, financial accounting & control and tax as well as leading teams which deliver business planning, performance reporting, expense management, statutory and regulatory reporting.
A true leader, you will provide coaching to the team ensuring we continue to build capability to provide an exceptional experience for our internal and external customers. Staying ahead of industry and regulatory changes, you will also work with the business on preparing and presenting business plans and reporting.
About You
You are a Senior Finance Leader with a wealth of experience across accounting, performance management and financial control within the Financial Services sector. Key to your success has been your ability to use financial analysis and insights to add value, influencing decisions and delivering to organisational strategic outcomes.
You have a track record in improving workforce capability and performance, developing high performing teams, and setting them up for success. You have pioneered change working cross-functionally to deliver business process improvement initiatives.
Your balanced set of skills includes critical and analytical thinking, people leadership, a bias for action, and a preparedness to roll up your sleeves and get into the detail when required.
An engaging and articulate communicator, your ability to work at pace in a dynamic environment will ensure success in this key senior leadership role.
